Ocelot Cat

The Ocelot Cat, Felis pardalis, is found in forests and arid brushland from southern Texas to Paraguay. Large males reach a length of 1 m (40 in), plus a 45 cm (18 in) tall, and stand 46 cm (18 in) high at the shoulder; they weigh up to about 16 kg (35 lb). The tan or grayish coat is marked with black spots, black-bordered blotches that are elongated on the back and sides, and black strips on the head and neck region. Ocelots hunt at any time, but mostly at night, and feed on small mammals, snakes, and birds. Gestation takes about 70 days, with usually two to four young born in a litter.


Not like other kind of cat, this cat in not afraid to water, even this cat have a better swimmer ability. The Ocelot is a proficient swimmer and climber.

The Ocelot's Cat appearance is similar to domestic cat. The cat has fur resembles of a Clouded Leopard or Jaguar and teir fur are valuable to be marketed. The effect of this condition have interest to entrepeneur and hundreds of Ocelots Cat have been killed for their fur.
